NORFOLK - Martha D. Bond, 80, of the 2400 block of E. Princess Anne Road, went
to be with the Lord Aug. 13, 2007, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was
born April 21, 1927, to the late Sarah and John Wesley Davis in Norfolk. She was
a member of the Historic First Baptist Church, Bute Street.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Linda Baldwin of Augusta, Ga.,
and Diane Wilkins of Norfolk; one son, James L. Bond Jr. of Killeen, Texas; one
brother, Roland Davis; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and
friends.

A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church, 418 E. Bute
St. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will
assemble at 3638 Dey St. one hour prior to the service for the procession to the
church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Metropolitan
Funeral Service, Granby St. Chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family at
