Norfolk -
Lasalle Bond, 25, of 1310 Wide street was killed Friday afternoon when struck by
a Norfolk and Western Railway yard engine at the foot of Boissevain avenue. The
engine at the time of the accident was pushing a refrigerator car. Both rolled
over Bond’s body. C. C. Etheridge, trainman, discovered the body a few minutes
later.
