Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S.L. Bond, he was a native of Windsor, N.C. and had been in Norfolk over 40 years. He had been employed by Crane Co. over 16 years. Surviving are three sons, Charlie Bond Jr. of California and Wallace Bond and George L. Winston of Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Bond Collins of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Lettie V. Raynor of Windsor, N.C., Mrs. Isabelle Mitchell of California and Mrs. Elizabeth Outlaw of Philadelphia; a brother, Lewis Bond of Williamston, N.C., and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Citizen's Funeral Home by the Rev. J.A. Askew of Garrett's Community Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
