Bond, of the 6400 block of Glenoak Drive, a retired postal service employee, died March 23, 1986, in Norfolk. Mr. Bond, a native of Sunbury, N.C., and the widow of Pearlie M. Bond, had retired from the Postal Service after 30 years. He was a member of Greater Metropolitan AMEZ Church and an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Anne Rudisell of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, S. Maewarren Hardie of Portsmouth and Dorothy Riddick of Chesapeake; seven brothers, Andres Bond, Conrad Bond and Willian Bond, all of Portsmouth, Shirley Bond and Francis Bond, both of New York City, Leon Bond of Sunbury and Harry Bond of Philadelphia. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Greater Metropolitan AMEZ Church by the Rev. E.H. Whitley. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today in Corprew Funeral Home.
