His death was sudden and unexpected, although he had been in declining health for some time. Mr. Bond was a native of Petersburg and had lived in Norfolk 29 years. He was well known and highly esteemed. He was 63 years old. Surviving him are his wife, four daughters, Misses Carolista, Mary, Jane and Sarah Bond, all of Norfolk; three sons, Holton Bond, U.S.A. and John and Richard Bond, of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. U.J. Edwards and Mrs. F.C. Davis, both of Texas and two brothers, W.P. Bond, of Norfolk and Kemper Bond, of Petersburg. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church and will be conducted by Rev. H.H. Covington. Interment will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
