CHESAPEAKE - Willie LaVerne Bonner, 51, of the 900 block of Amick Road, died
Oct. 3, 2001, in Norfolk.

``Wee-Bee,'' as she was affectionately called, was born in Norfolk to Willie
McLaurin and the late Frances Marie McLaurin. She was a parent liaison for the
Norfolk Public Schools for 28 years. She graduated from Booker T. Washington
High School, Norfolk, and completed three years at Norfolk State University. She
was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Frances M. McLaurin; a son, Michael M. McLaurin;
three sisters, Lola Campbell, Julia McLaurin, Deborah Freeman; a brother,
William Bland McLaurin; six grandchildren, Michael, Chanta, Marquis, Lanae,
Shavon and Jaylin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was
predeceased by grandparents William and Julia Bland and Fannie McLaurin.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church by Father
John J. Dorgan with burial in Calvary Cemetery . A wake service will be held
Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Graves Funeral Home.
