Virginian Pilot May 27, 1969

Mrs. Georgie Reed Bonney, 73, of 6113 Studeley Ave. died in a hospital Monday.
She was the wife of George Lester Bonney and a daughter of Theodore Hardy and 
Mrs. Mary Beale Walters.
A Norfolk native, she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Surviving, besides her husband, is a sister, Mrs. Edward A. Stroud of Kingston, 
Pa.
The Rosary will be said in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, tonight at 
7:30 
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Newport 
Avenue, Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

BONNEY, MRS. GEORGIE REED — In a local hospital, Monday, MRS. GEORGIE REED 
BONNEY, wife of George Lester Bonney, and daughter of the late Theodore Hardy 
and Mrs. Mary Beale Walters, in the 74th year of her age. The body will be taken 
from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 
Newport Avenue, for a requiem mass to be celebrated Wednesday at 10 o'clock. 
Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery.
