L. Bonney lost their youngest child. Yesterday afternoon their other little boy, Charles Vernon, aged five and a half years old, also died of pneumonia, while their only remaining child, a sweet little girl, is seriously ill with the same disease. The afflicted parents have the deepest sympathy of a large circle of friends as they pass through these deep waters. Owing to the illness of the remaining child, the funeral will take place at the grave in the new cemetery at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon. The funeral of Charles Vernon, the six year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles L. Bonney, took place at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the residence of the parents, in Huntersville, the services being conducted by Rev. C. S. Blackwell, of the Third Baptist Church, at the grave. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The occasion was an unusually sad one, it being the second child these parents had buried in a week. There was a very large attendance of sympathizing friends. The following boys acted as pallbearers: Edward Ball, Gilmer Elliott, Herbert W. Cuthriell, W. D. Coates, Harry H. Elliott, Earl Pettit. Mr. & Mrs. Bonney have still another child seriously ill.
