Virginian Pilot Friday February 24,1899
The funeral of the venerable Mrs. Sarah L. Bonney, whose death occurred at the 

home of her son, Mr. J.T. Bonney, No. 250 Bank street, Tuesday (Feb 21,1899), 

was held from the residence at noon yesterday, Rev. W.J. Young,D.D., of Epworth 

M.E. Church, officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. 

Following were the pall-bearers: Messrs. W. B. Barham, T. B. Anderson. B. T. 

Rockover, J. L. Seneca, L. A. Beckham, W. R. Fentress, A. J. Goodrich and D. W. 

Warren.
