Wilson M. Bonney The numerous friends of this gentleman will be deeply pained to learn of his demise. The sad event took place at his residence on Cumberland Street yesterday after a lingering illness of several months. Col. Bonney was widely known from the active part he took in public matters. He has, on frequent occasions, served the city as a member of the councils and has several times been elected to the office of magistrate in both of which positions he served the city with fidelity. He was truly a public spirited man, and always gave his time and whatever of talent he possessed to every measure that tendered to advance the interest of Norfolk in her local government as well as in a commercial point. He died in the bosom of his family peacefully and with a steadfast faith in his Redeemer. His funeral will take place from the Granby Street M.E. Church tomorrow (Monday afternoon) at 4:30 o'clock.
