Bonney, 83 years old, died at 11:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the residence, 713 Reservoir avenue. He was a native of Princess Anne County, but had made Norfolk his home for the last eight years. He was a Civil War veteran and fought under Major Woodhouse. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Bonney; one son, W.C. Bonney; two daughters, Mrs. Ida Wright and Mrs. Maude Gatling; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a member of Pickett-Buchanan Camp, Confederate Veterans, Knights of Pythias and the Brambleton Methodist Church. Funeral services will take place at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the residence, the Rev. J.T. Green, pastor of Brambleton Methodist Church, and Rev. J.B. Winn, D.D., pastor of the Ghent Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
