The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark December 25, 1933
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bonney, aged 88, widow of James H. Bonney, died at the 
residence of her daughter, Mrs. J.A. Gatling, 115 West Twenty-eighth street, 
yesterday morning at 9:45 o'clock after a long illness,  She is survived by two 
daughters, Mrs. Gatling and Mrs. W.J. Wright; a son, W.C. Bonney; seven 
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of Norfolk.  Mrs. Bonney was a 
native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 
19 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
