A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was employed in the City Treasurer's office for 19 years. He retired in 1947. Before going with the city, he served 18 years as supervisor of the correspondence section of the Norfolk Navy Yard. He was an active member and elder of the Knox Presbyterian Church. He was clerk of the session for 16 years before he resigned this year. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Austin L. Powell, of Norfolk; two sons, Albert W. Bonney, of Nutley, N.J., and Wilson M. Bonney, Jr., of Norfolk; two brothers, Harry F. Bonney, of Littleton, N.C., and Fred W. Bonney, of Norfolk, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to the Knox Presbyterian Church for funeral services tomorrow at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
