The Virginian-Pilot, Thursday, December 30, 1971

NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary Booker of 429 W. 30th St., the wife of Theodore C. Booker 
Jr., died Tuesday in a hospital after a short illness.

A native of Elizabeth City, N.C., she was a daughter of George Hinton and the 
late Mrs. Annie S. Hinton.

Besides her husband and father, surviving are two sons, Theodore C. Booker III 
and Mitchell N. Booker, and a daughter, Miss Judy Booker, all of Norfolk; two 
brothers, Floyd Hinton of Norfolk and Caleb Hinton of Washington; five sisters, 
Mrs. Agnes Artis, Mrs. Betty Gilliam, and Mrs. Rubell Caldwell of Norfolk, Mrs. 
Josephine Johnson, and Mrs. Alberta Wills of New York; and a grandchild.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home.

Additional Comments:
NORFOLK -	A funeral service for Mrs. Mary Booker will be held Sunday at 2 
p.m. in Hale Funeral Home by Elder Melvin Hayden. Burial will be in Calvary 
Cemetery.
