Norfolk Journal and Guide,May 26,1934
The funeral of John Booker, 306 Lewis Street, who died at his home Friday, May 18, 
was held from Hale’s Chapel Monday, May 31, with the Rev. J. H. Billups 
officiating. The deceased was born in Virginia and is survived by his mother, Mrs. 
Rosa Booker, a sister, Miss Addie Booker and two brothers. Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery.
