Funeral services were held at Bank Street Baptist Church on Thursday at 2 p.m. Dr. J. B. Henderson, pastor, officiated. The body lay in state at the church from 12 noon until 2 p.m. A native of Jackson, NC, Mr. Boone had lived in Norfolk since he was a year old. He was a member of Bank Street Baptist Church, and attended services at the church Sunday. Mr. Boone was known in the Tidewater area as a bondsman, having served as a professional bondsman for ten years at one time and seven years the last time. He was for several years a real estate broker, owner of a barbershop and other businesses. Mr. Boone was a member of the M. R. Jackson Fellowship at Bank Street Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clyde Boone; several cousins including Mrs. Ada Parker, Suffolk; Mrs. Maxie Boone, McKinley Calvert and Mrs. Novella Branch, all of Jackson, NC, and other relatives. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in charge of funeral arrangements.
