Norfolk - Final rites for Mrs. Willie O. Boone were conducted July 30 in United
House of Prayer For All People.  She died July 26 in a local hospital after a
short illness.

A native of Bethel, NC, she was a daughter of the late Dolphus and Mrs. Florence
Bullock Bess and the widow of Henry Boone Sr.

Mrs. Boone was a member of United House of Prayer for All People and it’s Soul
Hunters and Sunday school.

Surviving are a son, William H. Boon Jr. of Portsmouth;  two daughters, Mrs.
Florence James and Mrs. Beatrice Mays, both of Norfolk;  two brothers, Jesse
Bess of Philadelphia and Cornelius Bess of Florida;  a sister, Mrs. Coranda
Snowden of Virginia Beach;  eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge
