A lifelong Norfolk resident, Louise was born July 24, 1924. Named "Maria Luise Rosario Bosio," Louise was the 6th and youngest child of her parents, Carolina Marguerite Sosa Rubin and Secondo Giavonni Bosio. Louise was preceded in death by her by her husband of 69 years, Franklin Henry Booth, of San Diego, California, and by her five siblings: Henrietta Lena Bosio Westlake, Mario Secondo Bosio, Mary Agnes Cecelia Bosio Picone, Virginia Marguerite Bosio Culter Mays, and Catherine Luz Bosio Brammer. As the matriarch, Louise's large family survives her: Daughter, Frances Louise Booth Barker of Norfolk; Son, Edwin Harold Booth (Mary Ann) of Charlottesville; and Daughter, Barbara Teresa Margo Booth Macomber (David John Macomber) of Harrisonburg. Seven grandchildren include: Donald W. Barker III of Norfolk; Louise Marie Barker Harshman of Canada; Robert Stevens Barker of North Carolina; Sherry Booth Johnson and Shannon Booth Critzer of Charlottesville; Alixandra Macomber Reid of McClean and Brittany Booth Macomber of New York City. Ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson complete the immediate family, including 47 nieces and nephews. Louise also remained in contact with her cousins in Rivarola, Italy. Louise followed current events and voted proudly in every election until her death. She was smart and beautiful, but most also, loud and funny. Her humor bubbled up and people became alive when she entered a room. To her family and friends, Louise was a shining star and we thank God for her.
