She was born and raised in Amherst County. Mrs. Booth graduated from Blackstone College and went on to M.C.V., where she became the first person to receive a B.S. in nursing. Following graduate study at Columbia University she taught psychiatric nursing at M.C.V. She worked as a registered nurse at M.C.V. until retirement. Mrs. Booth was a member of Ginter Park Presbyterian Church and the Ginter Park Garden Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles K. Booth. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Woodard and her husband, Keith, Rebecca Smith and her husband, Tat; four grandchildren, Dan and Andrew Woodard, and Tucker and Laura Smith. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ginter Park Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk , Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ginter Park Presbyterian Church, 3601 Seminary Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23227.
