A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of John Newton and Mrs. Margaret Burbidge Borden. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and taught in the Norfolk schools many years. She is survived by two nephews, W. Rush Loving of Richmond and Billups E. Lodge of Norfolk, and a niece, Mrs. Wallace Taylor of Greensboro, N.C. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Cox Funeral Home by Dr. R. Harris Kesler and Dr. Roy Bishop of Epworth United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
