Mrs. Borders, a native of Gaffney, S.C., was the widow of Walter Borders and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in South Carolina. Survivors include two daughters, Millie Jones of Chesapeake and Shirley Judd of New York City; two sons, Walter Borders of Norfolk and Willie Borders of Elizabeth, N.J.; four sisters, Marie Epps and Catherine Ellis, both of Gaffney, Rosalee Bridgers of Norfolk and Alene McGill of Washington, D.C.; three brothers, Sam Ellis of Rock Hill, S.C., and Robert L. Ellis and Nathaniel Ellis, both of Gaffney; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. James Church of Christ Disciples by Elder Waverly Smith. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence.
