Death of an Esteemed and Aged Lady
It is with regret that THE LANDMARK finds itself called upon to record the death 
of Mrs. Susan S. Borum, mother of our townsman, Mr. Samuel R. Borum, which sad 
event occurred at the residence of her son, No. 8 Brown street, yesterday morning. 
Mrs. Borum was in the 88th year of her age when she died, and from her youth was a 
consistent and devoted member of the Freemason street Baptist Church. She was 
loved and esteemed by a large circle of friends and relatives, who will deeply 
mourn her loss. Her funeral will take place from her late residence this afternoon 
at 3 o’clock.
