Virginian-Pilot, November 2 & 5, 1901
Mrs. Sarah J. Borum, relict of the late Mr. John Borum, died at the residence 
of her son-in-law. Mr. W. B. Sorey, No. 114 Wood Street, yesterday afternoon at th
the ripe age of 73 years. The funeral will be held from the residence at 4 o'
o'clock Sunday afternoon.

The funeral of this venerable lady (Sarah J. Borum), relict of the late Mr. 
John Borum, was held from the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. W. B. Sorey, No. 
114 Wood Street, at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Rev. Dr. E. B. McCluer, of Park 
Avenue Presbyterian Church officiating, assisted by Rev. S. C. Hatcher, of 
Queen Street Methodist Church. The interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery. 
Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. George B. Maynard, Fred A. Bryan, E. C. 
Godwin, Joseph G. Fiveash, S. N. Brickhouse, R. W. Santos, George B. Crow and 
D. S. Holland.
