Virginian-Pilot, October 19, 1899


All that was mortal of the late Captain Charles Borum, formerly of this city, 
who died in New York Monday, arrived here over the New York, Philadelphia and 
Norfolk railroad yesterday morning. At 9 a.m. the remains were conveyed to 
Elmwood for interment. The services at the grave were conducted by Rev. J.J. 
Taylor D.D., of Freemason Street Baptist Church. 
Following were the pall-bearers:
Masons-William F. Allen, George W. Farrer
Pickett-Buchanan Camp, C.V.-C.J. Creekmur, J.W. Thomas, C.W. Grandy.
