Main Street, Berkley ward, Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 1910, at 2 o'clock, JAMES HERBERT BOUGHAN, aged 79 years. Funeral from the above residence THIS (Wednesday) AFTERNOON AT 4 O'CLOCK. Service will be concluded at the Confederate Square in Elmwood Cemetery, about 5:30 o'clock. *************************************** CAPT. HERBERT BAUGHN, AGED CONFEDERATE, DEAD Captain James Herbert Baughan, a Confederate veteran and a member of Pickett- Buchanan Camp Confederate Veterans, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the family residence, 37 N. Main Street, after a lingering illness of several years' duration. He was a native of Virginia and was in the 79th year of his age. The deceased was one of the first families of Virginia and was well known and respected. He is survived by his widow, one son and a daughter. The funeral will be conducted from the above residence this afternoon at 4 o'clock and the service will be concluded at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery at about 5:30 o'clock. **************************************************** CAPTAIN BAUGHN BURIED The funeral of the late Capt. J.H. Baughn, who died at the family residence, 37 North Main Street, was conducted from the above residence yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Rev. E. W. Cowling and Rev, W.W. Lear, D.D., of St. Thomas Episcopal and Memorial Methodist churches, respectively, officiated. A delegation of the members of Pickett-Buchanan Camp, Confederate Veterans, of which the deceased was a member, attended in a body. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
