Funeral services will be held from Grace Episcopal Church Saturday, Dec. 5 
at 1 p.m. for Mrs. Flossie Paige Boulding, who died at her Washington, DC, 
home Monday after a short illness.

Mrs. Boulding was among the first school teachers in Norfolk county and was 
the daughter of the late R. J. L. Paige of Norfolk and the late Mrs. Lillian 
Ruffin Paige of Boston, Mass .  She was the granddaughter of the first 
colored judge to serve in Boston and her father was a member of the Virginia 
State Assembly.

Mrs. Boulding, who had lived in Washington for the past 15 or more years and 
held wide social, civic, educational and fraternal affiliations, received 
her early education in Boston.  She was the widow of Benjamin Boulding who 
held high offices in the Pythian lodge and the mother of two sons and a 
daughter.

The sons are Richard Boulding of Norfolk and Ruffin Boulding, attorney, of 
Charlotte, NC  The daughter is Dr. Dorothy Boulding Ferebee  of  Washington, 
DC.

The remains will arrive at Norfolk Friday and will lie in state at the 
Riddick Funeral Chapel late Friday afternoon.

In addition to her sons and daughter, Mrs. Boulding is survived by two 
brothers, R. J. L. and Joseph Paige of Norfolk, numerous grand and great 
grandchildren.

The Rev. Richard B. Martin, pastor, will officiate at the funeral services 
at the Grace Church Saturday.
