Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch October 31, 1931
BOWDEN, PEARL HARPER – At her residence, 3212 Verdun avenue, Friday evening, 
October 30, 1931, at 6:10 o’clock, MRS. PEARL HARPER BOWDEN, wife of Roy L. 
Bowden, and daughter of J. T. and Mrs. Pearl Gregory Harper, aged 28 years.
Remains were removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 631 Westover 
avenue, where funeral services will be conducted SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 3:30 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, Elmwood cemetery.
