Alexander Broughton Bowden, 41, of Virginia Beach died Sept. 30, 1996, in his 
residence. Mr. Bowden was a native of New York. Survivors include his father 
and mother, Dr. Lemuel Bowden and Charlotte G. Bowden of Virginia Beach; one 
brother, Howard G. Bowden of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Margaret B. 
Nickodemus, Sand Point, Idaho; Mary L. Bowden Akin of Columbia, Md.; Rebekah B. 
Brown of Hamilton, Va.; and Stella F. Bowden of East Windsor, Conn. A memorial 
service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eastern Shore Episcopal Church 
by the Rev. Andrew MacBeth. Memorial donations may be made to charity of 
choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is in charge.
