NORFOLK - Ernest W. Bowe, 65, of 710 Virginia Beach Blvd. died Thursday in his 
home.

A native of Wakefield, he was a son of Alphonso and Mrs. Geneva Bowe and the 
husband of Mrs. Dorothy Bowe. He was a retired member of local union 1248, 
International Longshoremen's Association.

Besides his widow, surviving are a stepson, Jesse Bowe of Norfolk; a daughter, 
Mrs. Mary Sawyer of Newport News; two brothers, George Bowe and John T. Bowe of 
New York; and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Bailey of Wakefield and Miss Susan Bowe 
of New York.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in New Calvary Baptist 
Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
