Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, July 20, 2000
Alphonso Thomas Bowe, 57, of the 7200 block of N. Rosemont Drive, died July 14,
2000, at home.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Cooper-Bowe; four daughters, Selena White,
Altyne, Alkita and Tamara Bowe; two sons, Cassius Bowe and Jerrell Cooper; two
sisters, Diane Bowe Olds and Maxine Haynes; two brothers, Robert L. Bowe and
Harold Olds; an aunt, Lena Heidelberg; other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Queen Street Baptist Church,
Norfolk, by Dr. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Graves
Funeral Home is in charge. Friends may join the family at 721 ``C'' Ave.,
Norfolk; and the family will assemble there the day of the funeral.
