A native of Plymouth, N.C., he also had lived in South Norfolk and in this section for 40 years. His parents were Benjamin and Mrs. Martha Bowen. His wife, Mrs. Lulu Mae Bowen died some time ago. Surviving are one son, Carl H. Bowen, of Grassfield; three sisters, Mrs. Bertie Spruill and Mrs. Ruth Watson, both of Plymouth, and a third whose name could not be ascertained last night; two brothers, Timothy Bowen and Bennett Bowen, also of Plymouth; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
