Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - May 15, 1990

Ethel Davis Allen Bowers, of the 800 block of W. 43rd St., died May 9, 1990, 
in a hospital.
Mrs. Bowers, a native of Warrenton, N.C., was the widow of Clyde E. Bowers. 
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Richard Allen of Norfolk; four sisters, Betty 
Jones, Carrie Davis, Nannie Davis and Ruth Davis, and two brothers, Roland 
Davis and Henry Davis, all of Newark, N.J.; two grandchildren; and a great-
grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Graves Funeral Home by 
the Rev. J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Family and 
friends will assemble at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
