Virginian-Pilot  February 13, 1969
Virginia Beach - Mrs. Frances Goldie Carder Bowie, 86, of 4333 Thoroughgood Drive, 
died in a hospital Wednesday.
She was the widow of Pinkney W. Bowie and a daughter of William and Mrs. Sarah 
Carder.
A native of Freemont, W.Va., she lived here more than 40 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Velta B. Sansone, of Virginia Beach; a son, Archie 
L. Bowie, of Norfolk; and a granddaughter.
The Office of the Dead will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, 
tonight at 7:30.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Friday at 11 
a.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
