Virginian-Pilot, December 1, 1887
The funeral of Rev. M. Bowler, Jr., pastor of the Bank Street Baptist Church, 
took place from that church yesterday afternoon, the edifice being thronged with
friends of the late minister. After the funeral services the remains were borne to

borne to the cemetery and laid to rest in the presence of many mourners.
