Norfolk Journal and Guide, Feb 6,1943
Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Bowman, 69, 1551 West 42nd street, who died 
at her home January 27, were held at Jerusalem Baptist Church January 31.  The 
Rev. C. D. Ellis officiated.  Born in Charles City, Mrs. Bowman had lived here 50 
years.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Metz, and two sons.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery.
