The Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 27, 1950
Williford Patterson Boyce, 85, son of the late William P. and Mrs. Rachel Ward 
Boyce, died Saturday at 11:10 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Chowan County, N.C., and a resident of Norfolk for 55 years, he was 
a member of Park Place Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George L. Colgin, of Norfolk; Mrs. Herbert 
L. Creecy, of Atlanta and Mrs. Charles M. Pitt, of Portsmouth; two sons, W.P. 
Boyce, Jr., and Robert B. Boyce, both of Norfolk; six grandchildren, and one 
great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home 
Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. H.W. Tiffany, D.D., pastor of Park Place Baptist 
Church. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
