Norfolk - Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 18, at 2 p.m. at Grace
Episcopal Church, where she was a member, for Mrs. Marguerite Carolyn Boyd, 33,
who died Friday, March 13, about 9:30 a.m. at a local hospital following an
illness of one day.

She was the wife of Dr. James H. Boyd, physician of 1406 Berkley avenue, with
offices at 1134 Church street.

Officiating at the funeral rites was the Rev. Richard B. Martin, rector.

Mrs. Boyd, a native of Long Island, NY, had been a resident of Norfolk for eight
years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a nine-year-old son, James H.
Boyd Jr., her mother, Mrs. Marguerite Griffin; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Lucas
and Mrs. Nadine Fairconeture, all of Jamaica, LI, NY.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.
