John B. Boyd, 47, Was War Veteran

Final rites were held Monday at B.F. King Funeral Home on Monday for John Boyd, 
47, of 630 E. Princess Anne road, who died suddenly on October 14, in South 
Norfolk.

The Rev. Harvey N. Johnson, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Portsmouth, 
officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Selma, Ala., Mr. Boyd was a Norfolk resident for 40 years. He was an 
Army veteran of World War II and worked as a carpenter's helper.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Sarah Smith Boyd; and two brothers, Leon and 
Landis Boyd of Norfolk.
