Boyette of 819 Walker avenue, died in Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Drum Hill, NC, she was the daughter of Richard Patton and Mrs. Mary E. Rodgers Batts and the wife of Linwood Boyette. She was chairman of the Hospitality Group and counselor of the Blood Trail of the Ebenezer Church of God in Christ. She is survived by two sons, Earl Boyette of Norfolk and Linwood Boyette Jr. of the Army; two daughters, Mrs. Rachel Thomas of New York City and Mrs. Gloria Robinson of Norfolk; two brothers, Rufus Batts of Norfolk and Herman Batts of Drum Hill; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Boyette of Norfolk, Mrs. Sadie Brown of Chesapeake, and Mrs. Helen Cross of Drum Hill, NC; and 13 grandchildren. Services were held in Ebenezer Church of God in Christ by Elder Wilbert Daniels. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Chatman Funeral Home was in charge.
