NORFOLK — Mrs. Elizabeth Payne Boylan, 85, of 3316 Vimy Ridge Ave., widow of 
Michael Boylan and daughter of John and Mrs. Elizabeth Craney Boylan, died 
Saturday at 4:55 p.m. in a local hospital.

She was a native of Lochgelly, Scotland and lived in Norfolk 42 years.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Sodality of the 
Blessed Virgin Mary.

Survivors include a son, John A. Boylan of Ft. Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. W. J. 
Leary of Norfolk and Mrs. David McElroy of Stamford, Conn.; a sister, Mrs.
Maurice Crowe of New York City; seven grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.

The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ the King 
Catholic Church for a funeral service Tuesday at 10 a m. Burial will be in St.
Mary’s Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home tonight at 8 o’clock.
