Virginian-Pilot, February 02, 1899

The obsequies of the venerable Mr. Elijah S. Boynton, who passed away from the 
earth at his home at Seatack, Princess Anne County, Monday night, were held 
from the residence at 11 o’clock yesterday morning. At the conclusion of the 
services at the house the remains were brought to the city of Virginia Beach 
train and laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
