Norfolk - Funeral rites for Maceo Braan of 738 Park avenue were recently
conducted in Metropolitan AME Zion Church.  The Rev. Richard A. Councill
officiated.

A native of Chattanooga,TN, he was the husband of Mrs. Lena Braan and a son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. John Braan.

Mr. Braan was retired from the Norfolk School Board and also worked for the
Norfolk and Western Railroad.  He was an usher at Metropolitan AME Zion Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by an uncle, Louis Hamilton of Dayton, OH.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
