The Rev. Lawrence Haygood delivered the eulogy, and burial was in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Hale Funeral Home. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Braan, the deceased was a native of Chattanooga TN. He had been in Norfolk 35 years and was employed by the Seaboard Airline Railroad for 20 years. In more recent years he served as a waiter in New York. He was a member of Covenant Church, was active with a Boy Scout Troop and formerly served on the stewardship committee. His survivors are two sons, Weldon Jones of New York, and Earl Jones of Richmond; and a brother, Maceo Braan of Norfolk.
