The Virginian Pilot Sunday January 25, 1950
Mrs. Martha Bracey, 84, of 944 Charlotte St., died at her residence Saturday at 
2:50 p.m., after a long illness.
 She was the wife of the late Shirley Bracey and a lifelong resident of 
Norfolk. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she was honorary 
president of the senior choir.
 She is survived by seven grandchildren, all of Norfolk, Mrs. Martha Jones, 
Mrs. Florence Moore, Mrs. Barbara Atkins, Miss Evelyn Anderson, Miss Helen 
Anderson, Clarence Anderson and Albert Anderson, 10 step-grandchildren and two 
great grandchildren.
 The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home.
