Mr. Bracey was born in Norfolk and had retired from the City of Norfolk. He was a former member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Frances Bracey. Survivors include four daughters, Norma Bracey, Brenda Woodson, Anita Bracey and Joyce Bracey, all of Norfolk; three sons, Stanley Bracey Jr. of Muskegan, Mich., Holley Bracey and Len Russell, both of Norfolk; two brothers, Vernon Bracey of Norfolk and Lloyd Bracey of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hale Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at 2421 E. Princess Anne Road, Apt. D, Norfolk.
