Notice of funeral hereafter. **************************************************************************** MRS. VIRGINIA C. BRADFORD -- MOST ESTIMABLE LADY The announcement of the sudden death of Mrs. Virginia Cooper Bradford, at her home, No. 445 Mowbray Arch, Ghent, Friday, at 1 o'clock p.m., was not only a painful surprise to her many friends here and elsewhere, but has thrown a pall of gloom over the entire community. The deceased was the wife of Mr. Edmund DeVaux Bradford, of this city. She was the daughter of Mr. James Cooper and was born in Pittsburg, Pa., where she was highly connected, but the latter part of her life prior to her marriage, was spent in the city of Baltimore, but for the past four years or more she had been a frequent visitor to Norfolk. It was only about a year ago she plighted her faith in marriage to Mr. Bradford, which was a prominent social event in this city, and her sudden and untimely death is a crushing blow to her husband, by whom she was idolized. She was a lady of sweet and gentle disposition and a charming companion in the home and social circle. Few young ladies who have been in Norfolk had a greater number of friends than Mrs. Bradford. The deceased was 29 years of age. Her funeral will be held from Christ Episcopal Church at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
