Death of a Sister of Charity.

0n yesterday at half past twelve o'clock, passed from earth to heaven, for which 
it had labored unceasingly for a long number of years, calmly and peacefully, the 
spirit of Sister Mary Agnes, of the Asylum of St. Mary of this city. This good 
sister contracted, while performing her arduous duties, that slow but certain 
disease, consumption, with which she suffered long, but patiently, knowing, as she 
did, that God had prepared for her a glorious crown — a crown obtained only by 
those who have fought the good fight and kept the faith, receiving from the Most 
High that happy assurance of “Well done, good and faithful servant; Thou hast been 
faithful over a few things; I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou 
into the joys of thy Lord.”

Her funeral will take place on tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, from St. Mary’s 
(Catholic) Church.
