Norfolk - Final rites were conducted recently for Mrs. Raye Harriette Branch 
of 815 Johnson avenue in First Calvary Baptist Church.  The Rev. R. L. Elder 
officiated.

A native of of Isle of Wight County, VA, she was the widow of John O. Branch 
and a daughter of the late Beverley and Mrs. Mary G. Brown.

She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and the Johnson Avenue 
Neighborhood Club.  She worked with the United Community Fund for a number 
of years.

Surviving are five sons, Earl O. Branch of Philadelphia;  Percell E., 
Reginald M., Roland L. and Bernard A. Branch, all of Norfolk;  three 
daughters, Mrs. Celestine Wyatt of Norfolk, Mrs. Dorothy B. Fields of 
Portsmouth and Mrs. Evelyn V. Henry of Philadelphia;  three brothers, Aaron 
Brown of Boston, Jack Brown of Baltimore and Nehemiah Brown of Norfolk and 
two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Godwyn of Honolulu, Hawaii and Mrs. Collesia B. 
Jordan of Jamaica, LI.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
