Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, February 6, 1997 
Martha Branch of the 200 block of Harrier St. died Feb. 1, 1997, in Sentara
Nursing Center.

A dietitian for Addington and Beamon Co., she was an Elizabeth City, N.C.,
native and the widow of Walter Branch. She was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist
Church, Norfolk, and served on the usher board and the Missionary Circle.

Survivors include daughter, Lucy Evans of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren; 36
great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives
and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 3101
Lens Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. Steven Lewis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 206 Harrier St., Virginia Beach,
Friday at noon for the procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is
in charge.
