Born in Hartford, he lived here many years, moving to Norfolk 35 years ago. He was a superintendent for the Atlantic and Great Lakes Shipping Co., Norfolk, retiring in 1971. He later worked for Branciere Contractors, Norfolk. He was a Norfolk selectman and alderman 10 years. H leaves a son, Air Force, Capt. Mark Anthony Branciere of Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Madeline Shiplove of Charleston; two brothers, Francis Branciere of Fort Meyers, Fla. and Joseph Branciere of Hartford; two sisters, Mrs. Antoinette Piazza and Mrs. Theresa Sarlo, both of Fort Meyers and six grandchildren. The funeral and burial will be Saturday in Norfolk. Local arrangements: D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 235 Wethersfield Ave. *************************************************************************** BRANCIERE, MARCO ANTHONY — In Charleston, South Carolina, Wednesday, MARCO ANTHONY BRANCIERE, husband of the late Mrs. Barbara Rose Tocce Branciere and son of the late Rocco and Mrs. Anne Montana Branciere, in the 74th year of his age. A Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be said today (Saturday) at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, has charge.
